Volodymyr Zabeida is a Montreal based artist who works in a wide range of media both traditional and digital.
Zabeida was born in Ukraine, where he received formal training at the Lviv National Academy of Arts. In 1991 he moved to Canada, where he continued to make art, specializing in printmaking.
Since the early 2000’s his art practice shifted to drawing and he began to use digital drafting programs and 3D modeling applications in his work.
Zabeida’s work has been exhibited internationally and has been supported by grants and awards, notably the Pollock-Krasner Foundation Award in 2003 as well as Conseil des arts et des Lettres du Québec in 2007.
